Ambulance Dispatcher

Duties and Responsibilities: under supervision, this position performs a variety of skills and semi skilled function in support of the dispatch center; receives and dispatches emergency and nonemergency calls for public for the police, fire and EMS personnel and other service; provides emergency medical Dispatch (EMD) direction and participates in the work of a dispatcher.

Salary: the median annual wage for police, fire, and ambulance dispatcher was $36,300 in may 2012.
